COVID-19 Policy

We are aware these are uncertain times, therefore we offer a flexible policy on new reservations with arrival date up to December 16th 2021:

  • Free cancellation until 7 days before check-in, in which case the full confirmation amount (minus transfer costs) shall be returned. 

  • Cancellations within 7 days before check-in will be charged the full amount.

 

All existing reservations may reschedule their reservation free of charge to any other available date within a year from the arrival date:

  • Please note that changes to an existing reservation will be subject to availability and any rate differences.

  • For reservations booked via online travel agents, please contact the booking provider for information on their policies.

Book now with our Flexible Policy and enjoy your holiday on Aruba knowing that you and your friends and family are safe. To ensure the health and safety of our guests we pay extra attention to cleaning and disinfection of our villas. Each villa has its own private pool and separate airconditioning units which are properly maintained. All villas are private and situated within an exclusive gated community, which allows ample space for social distancing. We are always happy to meet you at the villa for a warm welcome however now offer the option for self check-in as well, so our guests can choose whatever they feel most comfortable with.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made up to two months before arrival, in which case the full confirmation amount (minus transfer costs) shall be returned. Cancellations within two months before arrival will be charged the full amount and are non-refundable, for any reason. We recommend all our guests to retain travel insurance for protection against unforeseen circumstances that may cause a cancellation.

Reservation Terms

In order to confirm your booking, we require a 50% downpayment.

​This payment can be made by a transfer via www.paypal.com into the account of: info@merlotvillasaruba.com, by credit card or via a bank transfer (bank details will be given upon request). We accept: Discover, MasterCard, Diners Club, Visa, Maestro. As soon as we receive the downpayment you will get a confirmation email including all further details. 

Remaining Balance

The remaining due balance including $500 refundable damage deposit can be paid in cash upon arrival (in US$ only), or with credit card (plus 5% credit card fee). Alternatively this can transferred one month prior to arrival, through a bank transfer (bank details upon request) or via PayPal (plus Paypal fee). The damage security deposit will be restituted upon departure in case no damage has been inflicted to the villa.

Check-in/check-out Time

Check-in time: 5pm

Check-out time: 11am

In case you arrive at the villa before 5pm and the villa is still being cleaned, you can always leave your luggage there already. 

If you would like to secure an early check-in or late check-out, this is available upon request (price is 50% of the nightly rate). 

Check-in Procedure

One month before arrival you will receive an email with the arrival details. One of our associates will meet you at the villa to welcome you however if you prefer, self check-in this is also possible. Upon arrival you will receive two sets of keys, and a short introduction to the villa. At the villa you will find a manual including the WiFi password and further instructions and information about the villa. During your stay we are available for any questions you might have about the villa.

 

Rates & Seasons

​Low Season 2020: April 1 to May 18, May 29 to December 17

Mid Season 2020: January 10 to 31, March 1 to March 31

High Season 2020 (different rates apply): February 1 to 28, May 19 to 28

Holiday Season 2020/2021: December 18 to January 8

 

​Low Season 2021: April 17 to May 24, June 2 to December 16

Mid Season 2021: January 9 to 31, March 1 to April 16

High Season 2021 (different rates apply): February 1 to 28, May 25 to June 1

Holiday Season 2021/2022: December 17 to January 7

The minimum stay is 3 nights (during Soul Beach Festival the minimum stay is 5 nights and during High Season 7 nights).

Rates are per night and based on occupancy of four guests, each additional guest is US$25 per night extra. 

Children up to 2 years stay free of charge (baby cribs available upon request). 

Rates include an electricity allowance (up to US$50 per night)* and exclude US$150 final cleaning and 11% Tourist Tax and Environmental Levy.

* The utilities allowance is more than sufficient when using water and electricity consciously, meaning; keeping doors and windows closed when the AC is on and turning off the AC when leaving the villa.
